Pastor Steve Marquez

smarquez-mug-no-borderPastor Steve was diagnosed with RCC (Renal Cell Carcinoma, Kidney Cancer) in April of 2014. He had surgery to remove the kidney in July of that year at UT SouthWestern, in Dallas, Tx. After surgery, pain returned and so did the cancer. He was then put into the care of Dr. Shafizadeh at the Arkansas Neuroscience Institute in Little Rock, AR., where he underwent three more surgeries, two of them major. His doctor was optimistic, but later said that it was a miracle that he is walking as well as he is. It has been a long battle with 14 treatments of radiation, six months of Physical Therapy and the battle continues, taking pill-form chemotherapy possibly for the rest of his life. He credits his relationship with Jesus Christ and His healing power with bringing him this far and whatever time he has left, his desire is to glorify God and be an encouragement to others who have suffered life-changing difficulties.
